Hydro-Mec helical gearboxes are modular and compact. The helical gearboxes are offered in either aluminium og cast iron. The helical gearboxes in cast iron are very suitable for heavy loads and at high efficiencies.
Hydro-Mec helical gearboxes are modular and compact. The helical gearbox from Hydro-Mec is offered in either cast iron (C-Series) or aluminium (A-Series).
The helical gearbox has a single-piece housing, that combines light weight with high tensile strength. The housing is precision machined for alignment of bearings and gearing, and is vacuum impregnated for protection and sealing, and therefore no extra sealing is required.
The input shaft can be provided with an ICE motor flange or with a free input shaft. The output side is always supplied with a free shaft end. The gearboxes can be fitted on feet that match other brands on the market or with flanges of different sizes.
The gearboxes can be supplied with 1, 2 or 3 toothed wheel steps. Ratios in the the A-series are from 3:1 to 363:1 and a max output torque of 520 Nm. In the C-series the ratio is from 7:1 to 680:1 and they have a max output torque of 2100 Nm.
In the top of the housing is a removable inspection cover, that allows for inspection of the gearing. The gears are hardened and ground, the output shaft is with well proportioned bearings, and the flange is fully modular to IEC and compact integrated motors.
Optionally the housing can be supplied in cast iron, and the flange can be supplied as a NEMA C flange.
